Just had some Faxe Premium which wasn't premium, let's see is this 7.7 stout will refresh my tastebuds...cool can design!

Very creamy head, typical stouty mild chocolattey aroma.

I like Guinness and Belgian dark beers, but I am not a big fan of stouts usually. This however is fairly good, I like that it's 7.7%, the extra strength gives it some oomph like a viking invading other countries looking for beer.

Overall a pretty good example of a stout, better in winter when there is lots of snow. Very warming choclatey taste with a great alcohol kick.

Better than the premium pilsner and much more interesting...and stronger yay : ))

Faxe Stout from Royal Unibrew A/S. 330 mL can served in a generic glass after spending a day in my backpack. Reviewed 30/7/21. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Appearance – 4.
First Pour – Brown (SRM 20), clear.
Body – Black (SRM 40), opaque.
Head – Average (Maximum four cm, careful pour because of small glass size), almond, high density, average retention, diminishing to a high density five mm crown and cap. Lots of lacing remains on the glass as the head retracts.
Lacing – Excellent. Wide band of three-dimensional lacing, mostly tiny to small bubbles, with a few windows.
Aroma – 3 – Weak roasted malt, no hops, no yeast.
Flavor – 3 – Begins with lightly roasted malt and slightly bitter. No ethanol (7.7% ABV, as marked on the container) taste or aroma. Mild gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 4 – Medium, creamy, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 Pleasing appearance and mouthfeel, average aroma and flavor.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.7%. Black colour (note: artificial colour E150c has been used here), moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, caramel, maize, mild coffee and dark chocolate. Light bodied for its strength. Flavour of roast malts, mild coffee, some caramel sweetness, moderate bittering hops.
