In collaboration with the authors of 'The Naked Beer' (the largest book dedicated to pilsner and other light lagers), Christian Andersen and Jens Eiken, we have been inspired to brew the ultimate Dortmunder Lager.
We have adjusted the water to hit the right mouthfeel, used the finest malts and updated the beer with modern German hops, to give the beer a harmonious and soft bitterness. Enjoy this 'naked' beer in all its simple perfection

Copenhagen 23/4 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden Hellerup. Close up of sleazy mouth with red lips and yellow teeth. Looks a bit like the poster for an Exploitation movie from the seventies.
Pours slightly unclear golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a light fruitiness. Sweet pale malts, honey, oxidized apple, sweet pear.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweet, malty, not too bad take on a Dortmunder.
