A classic German-inspired Festbier with a solid malt body that gives notes of toast and a slight nutty sweetness. The beer feels light and bubbly in the mouth, and can therefore be drunk from large mugs as the perfect companion to fried chicken, schnitzel and Schlager music.

Copenhagen 24/8 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Vigerslev Allé, Valby. Green can with a drawing of a talking wig ready for a Schlager Fest.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of tart fruits and sour grains. Sweet pale malts. Citrus and lemon. Grains.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, oft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor îs medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet underone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Decent if quite generic take on a Festbier.
