A balanced beer with a complex malt profile, interesting hop composition and flavorful character that complements the strong Christmas flavors while cleansing the mouth. High drinkability, both with and without food.

Copenhagen 12/11 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of toppled Christmas tree on fire and a Black cat with a halo.
Pours clear, dark amber with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense and balanced between candy-like sweetness and a dry bitterness. Caramel, toffee and hints of brown sugar. An almost harsh bitterness lurking in the background.
Quite strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-sweet with a caramelly undertone. Semi-dry finish.
At least it’s not yet another a bit too sweet Christmas beer.
