The model for Lottrup American Ink is the classic US Imperial stout. But where the US version has quite high alcohol percentages, we have chosen to brew American Ink at a slightly more accessible level.
We have used the finest American hops, Cascade, Citra, Simcoe, and an equal amount of each. This gives a rather fruity and hoppy beer with notes of chocolate, licorice and coffee. American Ink has a long hop-spiced aftertaste and a beautiful, full-bodied head.
That was all that was missing.

Copenhagen 13/8-2017. 50 cl bottle from Føtex. Illustration trying to imitate a tattoo on the label. Just to underline their word association game with "ink".
Pours opaque dark brown with medium beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is pretty rich. Bitter chocolate, hints of coffee and some roasted and sweet undertones.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is dark chocolate.
Light stout, pretty easy to drink but with a nice bitter edge.
