Imperial Saison Aged In Port Barrels

Slightly hazy golden yellow body, a bit of straw hue, one finger white head, good retention and bits of lacing. Smell is mostly sweet grain, caramel, a bit of fortified wine sweetness. It smells sweet but not in a sugary manner; it is more from the port. Flavour follows the nose, sweet but reasonably balanced by a bit of astringent barrel character, but for the most part light straw and port. Mouthfeel is medium lighter bodied, a little syrupy but packed with flavor. Good carbonation.
