A: The pour is clear golden with a large thick white head that sinks, rather slowly, into nice lacings.
S: Very mild smell; grain, sweet malt and corn.
T: Taste is mild and much like the taste. A bit cream and butter. Sweetness.
M: Short aftertaste. Body is very creamy and smooth. Mild carbonation.
O: Yet another boring Danish Euro Pale Lager.

Giraf Gold's initial two-fingered head quickly shrinks to a wispy, but resilient, ring with just a bare minimum of lace. The beer, at a relatively tough 5.6% is an attractive golden-honey hue, with continuously rising bubbles. The aroma is sweet and skunked (in the good, intentional way). Lightly, but effectively hopped, Giraf Gold doesn't depend on its crisp carbonation to achieve its pleasantly sharp bite. Upfront, it is a surprisingly sweet lager with a slightly dry edge to its finish.
Nothing remarkable and probably not worth the steep price, but it goes down nicely and it won't kill you to try it once.
