Copenhagen 6/4 2019. 50 cl can from Rema 1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh NV. Usual design from Albani Special line In Reddish dark brown.
Pours clear dark maroon with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as ultra thin almost transparent layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Hanging on to the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is sweet, lightly nutty and roasted. Brown sugar, light caramel, hazel nuts. Pleasant enough - but pretty light.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily texture.
Flavor is rather sweet followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on being sugary. Light bitterness rummaging in the background. Lingers for a bit.
Too much on the sweet side for my taste buds.

Pours a clear, dark brown color, with a huge, spongy beige head.
Smells of cranberry bonbon, roasty toffee malts and a citraic note.
Has a soft, aqueous mouthfeel, due to its low carbonation and lighter body.
Tastes of caramel malts, toasted grains, a note of charred wood bark and soothing cream. Quite sweet with just a hoppy peak to create a subtle balance. Finishes a tad dryer, with cloyingly sweet licorice and a clean, aqueous ending.
Reminds me more of a sweet Altbeer than of an american dark ale, with a pleasant mouthfeel to it.
