Copenhagen 9/2 2021. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N. Wooden label with some ornaments of corn ears and hop flowers. Apparently they try to emulate beer from the nineteenth century.
Pours clear dark amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with light metallic notes. Caramel, lightly toasted malts, syrup. Bread and grains. Tin can.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Finish has a burnt tang.
Very sweet Dunkel with a bit thin texture. They also made mainstream beers in the nineteenth century.
