We have spiced this Witbier with hops from New Zealand and the USA, and given the beer a shot of rhubarb to bring the Danish spring into the can. A full-bodied and refreshing wheat beer with spicy notes of green pepper, forest floor and a hint of citrus. Perfect for the arrival of spring.

Copenhagen 12/7 2024. 44 cl can from Kvickly, Hvidovrevej. Hvidovre. Light green can in Schiøtz' usual design with drawing in white of the grumpy old brewer.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin puddle of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of malts mingling with a bit of citrus fruit. Sweet wheat malts, ripe pear and a bit of lemon. Touch of butter.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong tart sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is thin and watery.
Thin but refreshing.
