Godt Bryg Forårsbryg is based on an old recipe from the brewery's operating books. Known to our southern neighbors as Frühlingsbock and was a big hit in its time. A spring bock beer that focuses on the good malt and a mild bitterness.

Copenhagen 2/3 2022. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Albani's Godt Bryg brands usual design with a wooden frame surrounding the original beer label. This time a green one from the old Faxe brewery.
Pours clear, golden amber with mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a distinct metallic scent of alcohol. Sweet pale malts and bread. Sour grains. Tin can.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and metallic. Lingers for a bit. Finish is oily and flat.
Not everything was greater in the good old days.
