The Godt Bryg series celebrates the proud Danish beer brewing tradition from 34 local breweries, the oldest of which was founded in 1832.
"Godt Bryg" was used to describe the best beers, and we have been inspired by those recipes. Brewed with good ingredients, and the same pride in craftsmanship as back then, infused with everything we have learned about beer brewing.
Carlsminde were the first to launch the strong Christmas brews again after the Second World War in 1953. A refreshing golden bottom-fermented beer that is balanced and easy to drink.

Copenhagen 12/12 2021. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N, Godt Bryg’s usual design with a small presentation of a vintage beer label surrounded by a woody frame. This time a blue label from Carlsminde brewery with an old fortress.
Pours clear pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a grainy sour scent with a metallic touch of alcohol. Sweet pale malts, bread, grains and sharp alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit.
Quite on the boozy and malty sweet side.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
