Like the brewery's previous anniversary beer, the new beer is based on older principles, and Albani's founder Theodor Schiøtz's old recipes have been unearthed from his stash in the search for inspiration.
It has a caramel-like sweetness and the bitterness is balanced.

Copenhagen 17/5 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled torv, Kbh Ø. Photo of a a lot of Brewery workers from ancient times on the label with a white A surrounded by a red circle in center. Tagline is "With a taste for History".
Pours clear amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer completely. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet, lightly roasted and very much on the malty side. Caramel, lightly roasted malts. Light metallic notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, creamy texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by more moderate bitterness with a lightly burnt tang. Aftertaste is bitter-sweet. Lingers for a while.
Not the most memorable Anniversary Beer - and I could do without the metallic tang.
