Copenhagen 5/12 2017. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Green and golden label with Theodor Schiøtz' somber visage hovering in the middle.
Pours clear golden yellow with big white bubbly head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of fluffy foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is not very strong and quite herbal. Prominent malt base. Grains and cereal. Dark fruit and hints of juniper. Saltiness.
Strong prickly carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little bit boozy.
A little harsh and bitter - but probably a fine match for fat Christmas food.
