Brewed with cranberries
If you like Schiøtz Gylden IPA, which won gold in 2016, then you will love our Christmas IPA.
Refreshing aperitif and great with smoked fish and fatty dishes.
Danish Christmas food demands its beer. And with this Christmas IPA, we have set all sails. Schiøtz Jule IPA is unfiltered with an aromatic scent of citrus, pepper and red berries, where we have added cranberries to give a fruity aroma and emphasize the Christmas notes.
Typically Schiøtz.

Copenhagen 1/2 2017. 75 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Gold and blue label with Theodor Schiøtz face looming in the center.
Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Settles as a thin creamy layer of foam with fluffy rim along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is not especially strong. Typical IPA with strong herbal hints. Exotic fruit with citric notes and a little licorice.
Low carbonation and fairly thin palate.
Flavor is light to medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. A little rough and herbal. Aftertaste is bitter - bordering on the harsh. Finish is semi-dry.
A bit too herbal for my taste - but they do not cheat you from a healthy bitterness.
