2022 batch.

Classic hefeweizen clove-like esters dominate the smell. Taste seems muted. The peach hides behind the esters but is discernable. Easy drinker despite some problems.

Originally reviewed August 4, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Thin golden yellow, with a good level of light white head. Aroma is a sickly sweet honey peach tinged with fruit. Flavor lacks, without much depth; just a tinge of light wheat and fruit. Palate is weak, very watery, without a backbone.

Appearance: Pretty light golden color, almost clear with a light white head that doesn't last long.

Smell: Peach. None of the lemon or orange typical to other wheat beers. This one is all peaches. Slight wheat smell but not much in the way of the phenols or big wheat yeasts in here.

Taste: Here the more typical wheat attributes come out a little more but still peach makes up the overwhelming majority of the character, perhaps 95%. Sweet. No bitterness at all.

Mouthfeel: Sugary, like most South Shore beers. Crisper and thinner than most wheats.

Drinkablility: If you like peaches: high. If you don't like peaches: non-existent. I like peaches so I like this beer.
