On tap at the Deepwater.
Poured a deep golden-orange.
Smells of honey and sweet malt.
Sweet malts in the taste, and bit of honey does come through. Reminds me a bit of Rogue's brews. Ends with a faint hop note. Nicely balanced.
Mouthfeel crisp and smooth. Not as watery as some from South Shore.
This was quite enjoyable. Balanced and tasty. Definitely worth a try.

Deep gold, served up at the South Shore, without much head but sufficiently carbonated.
It had a sweet malty taste. Honey malt? Is that why they call it "honey double maibock?" Maybe just a bit too sweet. And why "double maibock?" As the beer warmed, I began to appreciate it's malts more. Some noble hop apparent.
Thick mouthfeel. At 7%, drinkability is a bit hampered. Definitely worth a try, if you have the time to sip.
