Dark brown with decent head and some lace.
Piney hops with a roasted note
Background similar to SS's porter, with rich roasty notes, but overpowered by a huge wash of Centennial hops
Mouthefeel decently robust
This was mainly lacking balance for me. The specific bitterness and flavorness of the hops they went with didn't seem to be in proportion or a good flavor match to the roasted notes. I seem to recall a beer of this style I enjoyed here previously that I preferred to this one.
