Near black with brown edging, good initial head, fades quickly.
Smells nice, caramel the primary note.
Caramel and gently roasted grain in the flavor, with a hint of toffee maybe a little chocolate. No real hop notes.
Lightish mouthfeel, light carbonation, typical for South Shore. Could use a little more-substantial mouthfeel.
Not a bad effort, but I felt it was sort of basic. I would like to see a bit more hop presence in this, but it was an easy drinker.
