12oz single, Rileys
I bought it, i read the reviews, it sat. It needs to go so i might as well try it out
appearance: generic slab city bottle...murky dark mahogany with heavy amber tints, slight tan foam on top with some average lacing
smell: hahah, used bandaids....some wierd alcoholic aroma that cant be pinpointed. some apple fruitiness, a little sour
taste: wtf...as mentioned its an ale version of a bock and im not quite sure what the purpose of that is...the taste is pretty bad. super sour apple, sweet caramel. i dont even feel like writing more, its not good and its getting dumped
mouthfeel: pungent, sour, bleh
drinkability: yeah, not so much

Murky browned apple juice appearance, with a tiny skimming of dirty white. If this was a weizenbock, it might be appropriate. It's not, and therefore it is third-world ugly.
Hazelnut liquor, rust, and dumpster cardboard nose, undercut with a sharp vinegar cider.
Loosely caramel malted up front, then it dissolves into a tart green apple must, full of plastics and compost. The tartness veers nearly gueuze like. Then it produces green pus and iron. Green tea at the finish.
Light bodied and charged up. Notch another mark in the failure column.
A rare total drain pour.
This tastes like scabs, and I can grow those myself.

Musty and alcoholic nose...almost liked a liqour..copper color with a creamy tan head...taste is cidery liked apples..no sweetness at all...a bit puckery in the mouth...medium bodied...this is an ale version of a bock (whatever that is), and is old at that...this has no reedemable qualities...brewed in the fall I think so it's probably old....I met this brewer...he's a cool dude and makes good beer...but he's got to keep fresh beer in the bars or they turn out like this...and then people stop drinking it..

According to their website, this beer is brewed "using untraditional brewing methods....It's ale'ed, not lagered, brewed in the fall not the spring." Whatever.
Copper colored. Very creamy ivory white head. Basically coats all of the glass as I drink. Weak malt nose. Some hops perceived as well. A little of that Band Aid off flavor is detected. Scratch that. Make that A LOT of that Band Aid off flavor. Hard to finish this pint. Not enjoyable in the least.
