It's not a German Pilsener but this is the closest description available on BA. I have rated it as the Australian lager style it is trying to be.
Pours a pale gold and effervescent with a decent head and okay retention.
Good pils malt aroma with plenty of NZ hop character. Slightly citrusy.
A hint of sulphur teams with the citrusy NZ hop chracter to make a drinkable and tasty lager. Not much else really going on but it beats a Super Pride bittered Carlton or VB.
Medium-light body with a crisp, vibrant carbonation. Palate cleansing and suitable for the style.
A clean, crisp lager style beer which makes itself better than the average Aussie lager through te use of kiwi hops. Tasty and its a pity they didn't have any in bottles.
