Pours black with a thin light tan head. Great coffee aroma with a hint of dark chocolate. The taste is dark roast coffee, a little chocolate, and ends with the right touch of bitterness. My first impression was it's too thin but as I made it through the glass it hit me as more refreshing than light. The lighter body might not go over well with some but I really enjoyed it!

If you're in the Eau Claire, WI area you have to stop by the Coffee Grounds. It's a coffee shop with a fantastic selection of craft beer and spirits. Easily the best beer selection in the area!

Black body with mahogany edges, a compact layer of tan foam resides on the surface, and remains for a good while. Not much lacing, but the head retention is good.

Smells like coffee and gingersnap cookies, specifically Swedish pepparkakor Christmas cookies. Slightly sweet, slightly spicy, all delicious.

Full bodied and creamy, definitely some lactose sugar lending the impression of cream blended into coffee. Mild coffee taste, not acrid, harsh, or acidic, just pure mellow coffee flavors. Sweetness in the aroma is mostly absent in the taste, minus the creaminess. Overall it's a great coffee stout, very drinkable. One of the more unique offerings at Coffee Grounds in Eau Claire, WI.

Picked this one up at The Coffee Grounds, it is their official beer brewed with their own coffee by Sand Creek.

Pours a dark brown bordering on black with a creamy white/tan head that doesn't leave any lacing as it recedes.

This one has that coffeehouse scent, more so than a lot of coffee beers. The smell is predominantly coffee.

The flavor is also heavy on coffee, it has the classic oatmeal stout mouthfeel as well. There is also some chocolate and sugar thrown in the mix for good measure.

It was a surprisingly good beer.
