Tried from cask at The Rake pub in Southwark, London.
Pours a very clear copper colour, with a coarse head of frothy cask-like bubbles that are formed of big aerated pockets. Minimal lace. No carbonation when the glass is still, although there are some minimal tiny bubbles when tilted. Almost seems flat. Not bad though.
Nose is very pleasant and follows the English hop character. Herbal for the most part, but there's a brighter tone that leaves it a little bit more fragrant than you usually get. It's not potent, but certainly has a pleasant fragrance to it. Slight wheaty notes come through and a faint toffee character as well. Not bad.
Taste is pleasantly bitter. Clean and smooth sweetness from the cask forms a basis, while a solid vector through the centre deposits hop oil on the middle of the tongue. Good malt structure behind that provides basis without overt sweetness. Feel is as smooth as ever, although the hops lighten the impression somewhat.
Overall, it's pretty solid stuff. Nice characters, good structure and balance. Very drinkable.

Lovely, deep dark amber colour. Very strong sweet 'Belgium' alcohol aroma - no floral notes to speak of.
Nice, deep malty flavour with a mildly sweet rather than dry bitter aftertaste. Little or no astringency. Despite this, it has quite clean flavour. Like a well hopped Belgium/Trappist beer.
Interesting, tasteful, would be a great match with food.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of March 2014. Given to me as a Christmas present. The label states that this beer is crafted using six hop varieties during the brewing process - extreme hops!
Poured into a Duvel tulip. A clear sunset-orange hue with medium carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a frothy surface layer. Aroma of caramel malt with hints of pine, orange peel, faint citrus, hay, earthy yeast and a twinge of stewed hops. Balanced but the hop character is quite subdued.
Tastes of caramel malt with a hoppy, bitter finish. Notes of mild pine resin, subtle weed, hints of orange peel, faint citrus, grass/hay, caramel, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a slightly resinous, hoppy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with pleasant carbonation and decent body. Hop oils stimulate the palate. Mildly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of delicate aromatic hops, leafy bitterness and hints of caramel and yeast.
Meh - promises much but underdelivers. A pity as I had high hopes for this one. Looks OK, however the aroma and flavour are seriously short on aromatic hops. Balanced malt and yeast notes can't quite fill the gap. Decent body but not amazing. My impression is that the hop character has faded, despite the bottle being in date. Not quite the extreme hops the label claims. Drinkable but hardly memorable - no need to hunt it down.
