The very first beer tasted (by half-pint) at the London Drinker's beerfest., 22/03/06. Gravity-dispensed. According to the festival programme, this is a "Festival Special", so I felt so privileged to get to taste it~~
A: dark yellowish hue, very pale... low carbonation with great clarity.
S: HUGE aroma of flowers and lychee fruits: I wonder if Cascade hops are used? a twist of grapefruit peel at the back, on top of a very mild but still noticeable malty base.
T: bitter-sweet grapefruity flavour dominates the palate, backed by subtle, toasted maltiness, while a zesty tang and herbal bitterness intensifies without limits... towards a lon...g and satisfying hoppy-bitter finish.
M&D: soft and balanced bodied, delicate fizziness, superbly lingering bitterness... I could drink it ALL DAY, be it rain or shine!! I've finally found another Dark Star product which beats its own legendary Hop Head. Great one-off--if only they'd make it a regular~~

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
