This naturally hazy, tropical pale ale is dry hopped with Chinook and Columbus hops and flavoured with pineapple and coconut pulp to give our take on Pina Colada. No umbrella needed. Unfined and unfiltered.

330 ml can, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 4.5%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of pineapple, coconut, lemongrass and dill. The flavour is slightly dry, again with notes of coconut and pineapple, hints of lemongrass and dill, some bittering hops.

A bit of a weird one from Dark Star...had this at a beer festival in London. A hazy, tropical (coconut) pale ale. Fortunately, they didn't make it too weird. Definitely some pina colada on the nose. Some buttery coconut and tropical fruit comes through in the taste as well. I'm not saying it was great, but I crushed this beer pretty quick. Honestly, the room temp cask feel did not help this one. On keg at a cooler temp would have probably helped this beer in both the nose and mouthfeel. With that said, it was pretty good...different but not so weird as to make you wince. In any case, they seem to have achieved what they were going for here.
