A: Yellow, no head.

S: Sweet, diacyl. I noticed the is an expiration date area on the bottle, but no printing..hmmm

T: As nose, sweet butter. Nasty as hell

M: Umm, nasty...

D: Drainpour. Maybe use the remaining 5 for a brat boil. Horrible effort.

This brew pours a hazy golden-orange color. The head is...well there is no head, and no lacing either. The aroma is full of fruity esters. Grapefruit, lemon, plum. It is kind of overpowering and syrupy though. The taste could use some of the aroma's power, because it has none of its own. The mouthfeel is watery with no carbonation. Overall, this beer is such a drain pour that it was a pain to drink enough to write a somewhat decent review. Needless to say, this is the last time I will drink Ax Hanlde Ale, and the last time I will purchase anything from LogJam Microbrewery.

appearance: The head is thin, white, fizzy, and short lived. The beer is a pale, golden hay color.

smell: Light grassy hops and a grainy sweetness. Not out of balance or anything, but boring as hell.

mouthfeel: The carbonation is right between low and medium, pretty slight for an APA. The body is on the light side of the medium range.

taste: A mild hop bitterness that lingers into the finish, along with a watered down light grain sweetness. Again, nothing off per se, but completely uninteresting.

drinkability: Very easy to put down, and not bad, but definately not good either.

Picked up a single at Woodman's while visiting dirtylou here in Madison.

Pours clear with hues of light amber and yellow. Little to no head, but not flat.

Aroma has flowery elements present alongside a small amount of carmelized malt and butter.

Flavor has the same flowery component that reminds me of heather, but I would be surprised if they actually have heather in this. A little hop bitterness envelops the finish, but not much else.

A decently bodied beer, I'm inclined to take several sips in a row.

It's difficult to pin-down anything intriguing about this beer, which leads me to make the oddly juxtaposed statement that it's greatest strength, and to some it's greatest weakness may be that it's not an overly complex beer. It's posted on BA here as an APA, but it's certainly not reminiscent of an American Pale Ale, and is probably closer to an English Pale Ale. Still, it's refreshing and worth a try.

Appearance: transparent, ultra-pale yella is the color, with a decent bit of froth that lingers, then leaves.
Aroma: soft, lightly floral, but otherwise empty.
Taste: not good. One of the dullest pale ales I've ever let slide down my wind-pipe, with hardly any good flavors interjecting in the meanwhile, and precious little to recommend it. Thin body, with a tiny citric twang slapping up into the palate, unappreciated, a bit sour and unpleasant. Lacks balance, lacks flavor, lacks a lot. This can only appeal to people who settle for mediocrity.
From first sip to last shudder, a regrettable experience, a forgettable beer.
Take heed, and cross it off your list before going near...

Lighter pale golden yellow in color with a clearish body, nearly no head was produced upon a vigorous pour, just a thin bubbly mist that faded faster then most cola drinks, no lace sticks. Aroma is thin on the nose with a bit of grassy hay with subdued sweetness and starch. Taste is not by any means better, more of a subdued starchy soap sweetness, very plain and thin. Flavors are not good, that is, what there is of flavor. Light malts of soggy bread, lighter still is some sweetness and dryness with some soapy notes. Feel is lightly creamy but thin and watery with hardly any body or length. Beyond average in a unappealing way.

Golden color, not completely clear. Poor head generation, its gone in seconds. Some smell of hay. Seriously thin flavor, profile is tilted toward a slight sense of hops. Malt is merely sweet with perhaps a sense of subtle yeastiness. Mouthfeel is thin but not overcarbonated. This is the second LogJam brew I've had out of a bottle and I'm pretty bummed by the brewery's beer presentation in the glass. Maybe they need to look into the equipment.

Pours a pale golden, with some slight haze. Milky white head fades fairly quickly.
Somewhat grassy, floral hops on the nose.
Slight taste profile. Any slighter and it might fade away completely. Weakly bready with touches of carmelized sugar and tiny flashes of fruit. Tempered floral hops at the finish.
More like a blonde ale than an APA, and I am rating it as such.
Creamy but thin mouthfeel.
Average all around.

There's some chill haze present in this golden colored ale. Not much of a head. Some faint hops and fruitiness in the aroma. The taste is average. Some dryness is noted. Floral hop notes and some decent malt backing are present. Medium body. Goes down pretty easy.
