Pours a moderately cloudy orangish-yellow with a very thin light head. The nose is less noticeable and closer to non-existent. The flavor is sweet malt and has a watery mouthfeel that is lacking pretty much all forms of character. The hops are barely noticeable and the aftertaste is non-existent as well. Definitely not one of the "best beers of the world". (AGAIN)

This beer is a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a small white head that completely disappears in two or three minutes. The carbonation is slight; there is no lace. Bison Wheat does not particularly resemble a wheat beer. The aroma is rather odd with a tropical fruit character. Upon tasting, the carbonation imparts a substantial sting, this is soon followed by a cloying fruity sweetness similar to that found in the aroma, finish is slightly sour with a hint of earthy notes. The mouth feel is rather unpleasant due to the harsh carbonation and watery body. Thus far, this is the worst beer in the "Twelve Greatest Brews of the World" collection.

Package reviewed was a 16-ounce custom brown glass twist-off. ABV is 4.8%.

Part of the "12 Greatest Brews of the World" sampler pack found at my local Wal-Mart. You just know you are getting into trouble with a claim like that. Sure enough, not only was this not the best Wheat beer in the world, I doubt it was even the best Wheat beer at Wal-Mart. Pours an ugly fizzy yellow with a thin white head. A little hops in the aroma. Flavor was mostly sour with just enough hops to keep me from dumping the whole thing. As it stands I only dumped half.
