Clean filtered straw hued pour with ample rising bubbles topped with a frothy cap.
Medium detectable honey grass nose that meets the flavor with leafy grassy taste. Honey dry lingering grain aftertaste.
Frothy foamy feel with a thin to medium body. Extremely drinkable and at 3.9%? Oh yeah. Consider the style here and this is fine.
Last swigs: Honey grain light. Damn near the best light I've ever had! Reminds me of McKenzie's. The big 3 should take lessons from this one. Can I say that this is a "great light?" I guess so. This is an excellent beer for those who are "afraid" of trying brewpub beers.

Golden amber coloured pilsner style drink - though not at all sure why it the brewer names it Amarillo - little smell to give you much clue, but good taste, slightly sweet, with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Being light textured and only 3.9% makes it easy to drink and enjoy to quench a thirst, but not outstanding. Agree with the existing review in every way. Tried June 2004.

Better than it sounds, this beer is the offering from this classy brewpub designed to satisfy the average macro drinker who comes primarily for the food. The brew is a crystal clear gold with no real discernible head to speak of, and, of course, no lacing. But the appearance overall is good because of its body depth and clarity.
The nose is of a nice Pilsner with some real hop sense over the malt. The taste is actually quite tangy and crisp with much satisfying flavor than expected. The feel is typical for a light but does have a good finish. Easily drinakble as a session brew.
