Motörhead, Camerons Brewery, and Global are proud to announce that Röad Crew is officially coming to the USA and being brewed by Arcadia Brewing Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This American IPA will sit around 6.2% ABV, a crushable hop-forward India Pale Ale with attitude that showcases a floral and citrusy hop character with just the right amount of malt sweetness. Röad Crew beer is perfect for all rock, beer and hop heads and goes down especially well whilst listening to Motörhead at a wonderfully obscene, lawn-killing volume.

Pours a clear, deep golden amber coloration with a small, frothy head. Smells of doughy, very slightly caramelly malt and floral, grassy, slightly citrussy hops. Taste is a decent balance of doughy, very slightly caramelly malt and floral, grassy, slightly resinous and fruity hops, with light citrus notes of grapefruit and just a hint of pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some floral, citrus hops and just a hint of pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.
While this was originally classified as an IPA, the label now reads American Pale Ale and the truth is probably somewhere inbetween. While the 6.2% ABV are pretty borderline, it feels a bit lighter than that, with the flavor profile tending towards old school IPA though. It's quite floral, which isn't really for me, but also decently bitter and resinous, with a certain, slightly caramelly malt backbone to it as well. Nothing special, but a decent, drinkable brew that feels like somewhere inbetween an APA and IPA. Seems much closer to an American Old School IPA than an English IPA though, as some others have written, probably because I'm drinking this rather fresh.

330 ml bottle, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Clear deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma of grassy, floral and herbal hops, hints of honey. Malty but fairly dry flavour, toffee first, with reasonably distinct herbal hops, bitter and medicinal / metallic aftertaste.

I'm a huge Motorhead fan. So of course I had to try this beer. Poured out of a 16 oz can into 1 of my pint glasses, this beer pours a mainly clear, just slightly hazy, medium golden/copper color with a nice white head that's about an inch thick when first poured. Head settles eventually to a pretty thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with small cluster swirls of film layer surface foam and bits of lacing on the inside if the glass. Aromas of some bread, biscuity malts and some floral, herbal hops. And the flavor profile is exactly the same. Some crisp, bready, biscuity malts with some oats and some floral and herbal hop bitterness. Not at all a complex beer aroma of flavor wise. Very straight forward, and that's just fine here, as it works well for this beer. I feel the flavors really gel together better and compliment each other nicely as the beer gets better as it sits and warms a bit. Has a crisp, also smooth, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and mild aftertaste. I like this and I think Lemmy and the other deceased Motorhead guys would have as well.

Meh, good beer. This one reminded me a lot of Tree Beard by Arbor. I only drank this one because it is named after one of my favorite Rock N Roll bands. This one is just a straight ahead flavor profile with a solid hop back bone!

I really wanted to love this beer being a huge Motörhead fan. Pours a semi-clear dark straw color. Little head that dissipates quickly. To me, that’s as good as this one gets. Have a strange, ester smell....almost like the banana hints you get in a good wheat, but not as pleasant. Mouthfeel was a bit watery. The taste was the last nail. More the lingering metallic aftertaste thatdid me in. It is so pronounced that I can’t pick out any upfront flavors. I’ll stick with my Motörhead albums and pass on this brew.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. NO freshness dating, but was released sometime in the summer, so maybe 6 months or so old.
hazy, pale, golden/amber body. Big white fluffy head leaving very good lacing. Several fast streams of carbonation.
Faintly floral on the nose.
At this age, as others have said , this comes off more as an English style iPa, decently balanced. A little bitey on the tongue at times.
Mouth between medium and full. Finish slightly dry, with a little sour bitterness.
Overall, I re-reviewed this beer as the first one I tried came off extremely perfumey. Subsequent beers from the same six pack were much better. I still maintain that If you're going to honor Lemmy and the lads with a beer, make it a rum barrel aged imperial stout brewed with coke.

Taste at La Mayor. Small head with no retention and no lace. Golden y. Aroma is pineapple, lavander, some citrics and biscuit. Medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation. Dry finish. Taste of caramel, citrics, resins. Decent, but nothing special.
