Lite, with some chocolate aroma and piney hops. Not very interesting

Pours two fingers of tan head on a dark brown body.
The aroma is a great mixture of roasted malt and pine.
The taste is quite simple compared to the smell: clean pine and lemon bitterness, borderline watery.
The texture is light and crisp.
Great aroma, the taste was lacking but at 4.2% ABV it's not bad.

Thanks Kegatron for the share. Bomber into a snifter, the brew appears dark brown in color with a tan cap. The smells is deceivingly rich of fruity and floral hops. Some roasty malt comes across like coffee. The tastes is also roasted with a little carbonic touch before finishing fruity, floral and herbal with hop essence. This is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Pretty much spot on for what you would expect of a session version of a black ipa.

Pours an almost opaque super dark crimson-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa, char, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast and hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that has a lot of nice aroma and flavors for its low ABV.
