This starts out as an oddity-- something like a Witbier crossed with a malt liquor. But after some sipping it starts to get interesting. There is something about those Ella and Citra hops. What a nice combination. I wouldn't call this an IPA in the usual sense of the style, but it's full of tasty and fruity hop flavors. Orange and lime peel with a flowery note.
Golden color with plenty of white foam, and bubbles streaming in the tall glass. Zingy mouthfeel. Lovely citrusy flavor with that edge of coriander. From the mixed Craft Brews Alliance 12 pack purchased at The Market in Anacortes, Wash.

Reviewing this as a whit IPA.
Poured into a IPA glass. Hazy yellow color with a 2 finger white head that dissipates quickly and leaves 1 inch of lacing at the top of the glass. Aroma of peppery hop, citrus hops, and orange. Peppery hops hit the tongue first followed by a more citrus than malt middle and a citrus hop finish. No alcohol aftertaste but there is a some bitterness to it. Light body and medium carbonation. There's enough citrus to make the bitterness palatable.
This is a well hopped IPA with multiple distinguishable hops and more of a citrus backbone than malt backbone. More malts would have helped it. Good offering from Widmer.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. First brewed 2014. Sampled on March 27, 2015.
The pour is an unfiltered slightly heady yellow with a thin coating of lacing on the glass.
The aroma is tropical, citrus - more closely resembling pineapple. A little bit of toasted bread behind it all.
Light body.
Pale malts are the lower profile of the taste because it is more of a citrus, pineapple, festival with a lingering bitterness that ends on the dry side.
