When the Portland Timbers made it to the MLS cup finals against the Columbus crew, a bet was placed between Widmer Brothers Brewing and Columbus Brewing. The winner got to brew a winning team-inspired brew at the loser’s brewery. We all know what happened next. But it is not all about winning and losing, so we (the winning brewery) invited Columbus Brewing (the losing brewery) Here to do a brew, because in the end it was all about civic pride (winning) And brewer v brewer fun (humiliating loser.) the result of the first brew is called the Thrill of Victory, a Cascadian Dark Ale filled with the flavors of a championship.

Draft from the 16 St Albertsons... Pours standard almost black with a dark khaki head... Sharp piney hops with light cocoa... plenty of bitterness and definitely shows traditional PNW CDA character.
