On tap at Widmer Gasthaus, among the "Brewer's Choice" series, 44 IBU. Categorized by Widmer's literature as "American Strong Bitter" which isn't a BA style; therefore I selected English Bitter by default:

A: Amber/orange clear, minimal head but lacy

S: I couldn't detect much aroma at all, perhaps faintly citrus/fruit from the hops

T: Strong on the bittering hops (Warrior) but still some maltiness. A bit of alcohol warming but with a mildly sweet finish. For a bitter beer, well balanced & reasonably complex.

M: Clean finish, lingering hops on the tip & sides of the tongue

D: Likable but nothing too special. Enjoyable with the pretzel & fondue I had, but one pint was sufficient this visit. Worth a try if it's on tap again.
