On tap at Widmer Gasthaus, another of the "Brewer's Choice" beers. 23 IBU. This was also a beer that Widmer brought to the Spring Beer & Wine Festival in Portland in April 2006:
A: Pretty rich mahogany color. Brown with tnges of red. Approximately one finger of head in the pint glass.
S: Mild aroma, subtle hints of caramel, roasted coffee/chocolate. Little hop aroma.
T: Malty, semi-sweet, clean. The dark chocolate and caramel detected in the smell are present in the taste.
M: Light aftertaste. Subtle and balanced...maybe a little too thin.
D: Had one pint but could have had another. A pleasing beer.
