Don't remember the label so probably had on tap at brewery. After reading description definitely remember the beer. Doesn't taste much different than standard hopped beer.

not retired, this is in their current mixed ipa pack which i have been enjoying. this is the most classically styled ipa of the lot in here, its bitter and punchy, but still clean and drinkable, well made, although a little less distinctive and unique than i hoped it would be, with the hop hash and the hemp seeds in this, but neither seem to make this beer overly original. fortunately though, its real tasty. crystal clear from the can, holding over an inch of white head, and sparkling with rising carbonation, gorgeous in the afternoon light. the aroma here is pretty straightforward, green hops with some bite, higher alpha with a hint of grapefruit, maybe a little ganja dankness to it, but this isnt anywhere near as weedy as some others shooting for the same thing out there. the flavor is the same, but the bitterness is strong and it sets in early, almost instantly when it hits me palate actually, and almost is more bitter than i want it to be, at least to drink a bunch of, ipa has trended away from this level of intensity, and ive apparently gotten soft. i like it a lot though, quite fresh tasting, and clean in terms of the grain and the fermentation, its almost minimal. not sure what the hemp seeds add, maybe a little oily slick thing to the texture, a faint honey note, a lot of of leafy green hops. tasty stuff, even more robustly flavored than the deadlift imperial ipa in the box, at least in my opinion. kind of a blast from the past, very enjoyable.

Thanks, Nassisa.
A clear light orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks good. The nose is bitter and pungent with grapefruit peel, zest and pith, biting and bitter with pine as well. The palate opens with a potent and biting bitterness, with a definite Nugget hop flavor present, bitter and pungent. Hop hash and hemp seeds aren't really noticeable, though I'm not sure what they'd lend. Dankness? This beer has that. Grain and nut flavor? Not really. Bitter on the finish with a lingering grapefruit peel and Nugget hop flavor, this is solid.

12 oz bottle- Pours clear old golden with a tin head. Aroma is limited, has some floral notes, a bit of citrus, some pine. The taste is dank, pine, not really getting pot, but the flavor is nice. Pretty solid IPA.

Opened on America’s Independence Day in Idaho! Pretty good IPA. Nothing really sticks out. Not much in the aroma. Feel is alright. Taste yields pine and resin up front and a little malt finish. It’s an easy drinking IPA. Could get it again.

12 oz can from a boxed six pack from local Plaid Pantry..West Salem OR
.
Cant see as im scooping right from the can , but if its Widmer it's OK usually to look at..the can is cool.
Aroma floral and a wee bit of weed dankness..but its light and thats nice.
Taste is more balanced and both aspects of the beer meld very well..again as to be expected frm the Widmer Bros. Its tasty yet balanced. I like it.
Awesome mouth feel..another thing Widmer does right particularly in hoppy beers..excellent balance.
I could happily drink this beer..all summer

12 Oz bottle. Bottling date 3/20/19 pours a crystal clear yellow gold body with a white head. Very little retention. With that in mind there was surprisingly good lacing. Some tiny visible carbonation noted.
Very little on-the-nose. I'm not really getting much of anything. Mostly resin with very faint graininess that's somewhat dank.
Ditto for the taste. Not much to take note of except for hops on the back end. Bitter finish at the end that lingers.
Medium thin feel is appropriate for the style.
Overall; I really wanted to like this beer but there just doesn't seem to be a lot going on. The hemp tie in probably made it fun to drink on 420 (it was part of a variety pack that was available in April...). But this is a one & done for Me. There are a lot of other great Widmer Brothers beers that I'd rather drink.
