Had this on tap at Belmont Station today, didn't even know Widmer had a fresh hop beer. Wow the fresh summit hops are nice in this golden brew.
Pours a golden color with a nice white head, and an aroma of fresh piney hops.
Goes down easy the hops are not over whelming but you can tell they are there...I love fresh summit hops, hope the do more with this next year.
Have to say for Widmer this is a great on off beer. Get down to Belmont Station and try one before they run out.

This is Widmer's Fresh Hop ale...
Nice Mug poured tonight at The Front Door.... Clear orange... good retention.
Nose is very grassy... pale malts.... Brenda thought it smelled like wet hay.
Flavor has good maltiness.... mainly pale malt sweetness with whaffs of caramel and the hops come in green and grassy.... a little bit of mild rose petals... Light fruity esters come with some warmth.
Body is pretty standard medium.. and the carbonation is about perfect.
Descent to good beer... Honestly though, a mug was a bit much, I would have been happy with a 10-12 oz pour... it just got a bit boring.
