Went out to dinner tonight with the In-Laws.... Bitter Creek served this in a massive Bordeaux balloon.... great white head atop a hazy orange beer .... pretty hard to get a real read on the color, BECAUSE IT IS SO DAMNED DARK IN THERE!!!
Nose is traditional saison territory .... fruity... sorta estery with lite lemon ... maybe a bit of white peppercorns .... raspberries are there, but pretty faint... nicely done.
Flavor mirrors the nose .... the raspberries play as a pretty tart element that doesn't really come out until the brew warms up significantly. again lite lemony esters.. finishes pretty dry. Lite body and a pretty nice carbonation.
I would buy this again for sure.
