"A light summer drinking ale brewed uniquely using Clyde Valley hops along with Marris Otter malted barley making it an easy quaffing favourite."

Needs a higher abv, for me a proper IPA has to be 5.0+
A decent enough quaff, though wouldn't go out of my way to obtain it.

Half pint at 'spoons in Helensburgh. A gold coloured beer with the standard mottled 'spoons head. It smells of that classic walking past a large brewery smell which always remind sme of carrots but sweeter and I'd describe as stewed malt. It's also rather doughy with a hint of berries. Not what I'd expect from an IPA but fairly pleasant nonetheless.
There's a notable smoky, peaty flavour here which has much more impact than the hops, so again not would I would expect from an IPA, but still pleasant. Perhaps the hops are more spicy rather than the leafy or citric types I would usually associate with an IPA.

Poured a golden colour with a thin white head.
The smell was quite faint some sweet malts and little hops.
The taste was slighty fruity with some citrus hops and malts.
Very lightly carbonated medium carbonated.
An OK beer, a good session beer I suppose but won't go looking for it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
