Keg nitro, half pint at the Queens Vaults, Cardiff. Deep golden to copper colour, creamy white (or slightly off-white) head - nitro beer that takes a long time to settle. Very moderate aroma, but at least it is not unpleasant - hints of malts and fruit. Very smooth mouthfeel and flavour (surprise, surprise!), some malts and fruit in the flavour. Clearly drinkable, a crowd pleaser. Did I mention that it is smooth?

Canned in a tall can
Pours a very light brown coloured body with a big white head that sticks around
aroma of stewed hops and tin
Flavour has that too with the nitro burn which makes the mouthfeel for a cask drinker feel slightly sickly

Version in can: Brains SA Smooth with 4% abv.
As soon as I opened I heard the nitro canister to break, which was unexpected. White cascades to an amber color with a very thick beige head with eternal retention.
Light aroma of apple puree, English hops and cream.
Flavor with notes of English hops, biscuit and caramel malt sweetness, white grapes, a very distant cocoa and an interesting mild and pleasant tartness. Dry with a medium bitterness.
Light to medium creamy body with mild carbonation.
I found this much nicer than the stout version. Not very complex, but pleasant enough and with a combination of flavors that is hard to find outside UK.
