Big thanks to mikesgroove for sending this growler my way!
Pale amber, just a hint of haze. A thin whitish cap appeared after the pour and fell to a delicate collar and wispy skim of fine bubbles. Just a bit of lacing, but what appeared was quite sticky. Malt and honey in the aroma, herbal hops, sort of medicinal and spicy. As it warmed, it almost seemed like anise or licorice. Sweet malt up front, just a bit of honey and caramel, sturdy bitterness. The herbal character was there, but was less pronounced and appeared more strongly torwards the finish. Well attenuated without being overly dry. Medium to light bodied, decent texture. Fairly drinkable. Interesting hop choice and the herbal quality really grew on me.

Thanks goes out to mikesgroove for this
A- amber in color with no head at all, a bit of lacing, but not much of anything goin on with the top of this beer.
S- some sweetness in the nose as well as a nutty scent which is nice, not really picking up on any hops at all.
T- Hops are more noticeable on the tongue but just barely, the rest of the taste follows the nose quite well with caramel and nuttiness.
M- mouthfeel reminds me of a mediocre homebrew, it's just not there and really takes a bit away from this otherwise tasty brew.
D- this beer definitely goes down really easily and polishing of a growler was pretty easy.wouldn't go out of my way for this beer but thats not to say it was bad, just not all that memorable..

Consumed vom Fass at Blue Ridge Brewing Company...
Amber-brown in color, this brew had little if any head retention. Notes of caramel and roasted nutty goodness in the nose with faint whiffs of hops, just like the style dictates. Balanced on palate, this brew was very tasty, but the mouthfeel was something along the lines of thin. Other than that, this is a very good offering. I have little doubt this one will be even better next year.
Prosit!

Poured a deep reddish brown with little to no head but a nice lace. Smell was cramel and nuts, no hint of the hops in it. The taste followed with a nice nutty flavor and a dry hopped finish. This did taste a bit thin though. This is a very drinkable brew. Me and two other polished off the growler in no time and could have had more. It is not an overwhelming beer, but I would definatly have it again.
