reviewed from notes as i had this back at fall for greenville. served from the tap into a pint glass.

the pour was a nice dark brown with a medium head of tan lacing that coated the sides of the glass quite nicely and left a good amount of lacing everywhere down the glass. aroma is sweet but light. roasted malts and caramel, hints of light vanilla and cocoa but nothing crazy by any means, still pretty decent and this carried over in the flavor quite well. smooth and even taste with a milk sugar like flavor coating the tongue and copious amounts of roasted malts. a touch thin on the feel but a nice and well rounded finish.

overall a pretty solid porter and no real complaints about this one at all.

Had at the brewpub in the company of PDXHops QUITE awhile back. Served from tap into a Blue Ridge/Foothills shaker. Poured basically black with a hint of brown with a minimal tan head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, oatmeal, and subtle hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, roasted malt, oatmeal, and cream. It had a medium feel on the palate with low carbonation. Overall, where are all of the robust flavors!? Everything on this one was QUITE muted or almost non-existant. Flavor tasted watered-down. Not a huge fan.
