Served in a pint glass at Brixx. From notes. Reviewed 25 July 2011.
A: Thin head, good coverage. Unfiltered, cloudy, and light yellow. Barely translucent.
S: Wheat, citrus (lemon juice and lemon peel), and coriander. The usual suspects.
T: Sweet, spicy, and maybe actually a good hefeweizen. On second examination, it comes through as vaguely artificial. Banana hints and cloves.
M: Watery-smooth. Transient sharp spice.
O: Decent, drinkable, and a great summer beer. Might have again if it were real hot out.

Served from tap into a standard pint. Poured a pale yellow with a white head that was minimal and did not linger long. There was no apparent lacing present. The aroma was of a nice sweet malt with hints of wheat and grains. The flavor of this one consisted of citrus and wheat that was light on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was a very nice Hefeweizen that could be compared to a Franziskaner, but is not quite there in flavor. However, this is worth a shot for any Hefe fan out there if you can get your hands on it.

I had this on tap at a Durham Bulls game. Blue Ridge has a booth selling this, their ESB, and their Pale Ale. The beer was served in a large plastic cup so it was hard to check the appearance. It looked murky and kind of darker than usual for a hefeweizen. Ufortunately it didn't really have much of the banana/clove or bubblegum I get out of most German versions. This was closer to a witbier in terms of aroma and taste. It was easy drinking and somewhat tasty but didn't seem to fit the style for me.

a: This was light, cloudy golden color. It poured with a smallish white head.
s: Smelled of sour wheat, bananas, and a bit of spice.
t: Mirrors the smell, I was glad they didn't go overboard with the spices the way some breweries do, nicely done.
m: Good body and decent carbonation.
d: Thanks to mikesgroove for this one. My buddy and I had no trouble getting through this after our baseball game.

This had a light, bone-white head above a nicely cloudy, lemon-yellow colored beer. The nose had lots of banana esters. The mouthfeel was rather full and effervescent. The taste was really sweetish and very refreshing. The finish had a light presence of banana, but not enough to finish me. It was pretty drinkable, but hefes just are not my thing.

Poured a nice light yellow amber with a small white head that quickly faded leaving behind no real lace. Visible carbonation was eveident in the clear liquid before me. Smell was light, with hints of a fruity citrus mixed in. Lots of grain flavors were pronouned. First impression was nice and lite with a good profile to it. Not slimey and not too light, really a good sit down session beer here. Could have been a bit more carbonated, but really a fine beer. Could definatly throw down a few of these on a warm night, and already have.

This beer was tasted in a weizen glass from the growler.
This beer poured a hazy rusty orange with a thin white head that only comes from a very hard pour. There is no lacing and no head available for retention. The smell is wheaty with faint bananna and lemon. The taste is also wheaty with similar fruity flavors to the smell but not much complexity. The mouthfeel is good for the style. Overall a decent but forgettable hefe.

Hazy gold color. Not much in the foam department. Nice aroma of banana and clove. Flavorful though, with some classic hefe notes. Very light bodied. A rather thin and unremarkable weissbier but worth a try.
