Found this in the premium section at Al Campo Supermarket in Jerez. It was a new offering for them and I had never seen it so I gave it a try. Bottle states it is 5.9% ABV. Interesting bottle, it caught my eye. Pours a deep amber into my Affligem chalice. Moderate head and mild lacing ensued. It does a mild smack of hops which was inviting to the nose and mouth. Slightly floral and a medium bodied beer. Overall a very nice beer and well worth trying again.

On draft at Cafeeke, Madrid, Spain under the name Te Deum Roja.

Poured a murky amber hue with a two finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured sweet malts and fruity esters.

The taste consisted of sweet bready malts, caramel and a fruity yeast ester.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a very user friendly strong ale.

The amber offering from du Bocq to the spaniards was a bit less exciting than the blonde, because in a secuencial beer-tasting, you can realise the generic origin of the beers.

It differs very slightly from the blonde. although they're both good, this comes to prove that it's plain and simply a supermarket amber beer. oh, well. next.

It pours a normal head that fades away quickly. Nice dark red colour, the best thing in this beer. A thin smell of caramel, cherrys and some spice. Light body and simple taste of caramel and cherry. A bit spicy in the end. Plain and boring, though it's one you can drink if you don't have nothing better.

From Alcampo. Watching Sons of Anarchy 1x10. In La Trappe chalice. With Boca Bits. Disgusting. Hard to finish. A mix between unpleasant sweetness and rancid. Could it be in bad state?

Bottled by Brasserie du Bocq to the Spanish market.

Appearance: reddish amber colour. Very clear. The head is light tan, foamy, moderately large with poor retention and no lacing.
Aroma: sweet malts and some red fruits.
Taste: sweet malts, caramel and almost no hops.
Mouthfeel: smooth, strong carbonation, average alcoholic strength (5.9%) and a medium body.
Finish: very short and weakly bitter.

Overall: not very inspiring. No distinguish characteristic. It is not displeasant just boring.

The beer is mahogany, quite opaque and reddish reflections. When serving covers a white foam disappears rather quickly, leaving a bit around the edge.
The aroma is very appealing, fruity, with a predominance of red and black fruits, plums and maybe some strawberries, combined with a background of something sweet roasted malt.
This malt is noticeable mainly at the start of the drink, half of which are fruity notes, especially hints of plum, and alcohol, and seamlessly integrated without taking more prominence than is strictly necessary.
An excellent beer if you like dark beers. Very fruity and slightly sweet.

Amber color, clean, with a cream colored foam, sumptuous, creamy, beautiful.
Malty smell, some sugary notes, some fruit notes. After some qhile, a bit too sugary. Candy sugar.
Malty and sweet taste, quite boring, fruity notes.
A quite boring beer, too sugary.
