This commemorative ale was brewed in celebration of the royal wedding of William and Kate, hence the name. As I was at the sports and social club for viewing of said event, I had to try it. Being American and living in England made it even more surreal!
I gave this beer straight 3.0's all the way down as I found it thoroughly average in every way. If the point was to brew something special for the occasion, I failed to see the specialness. That's not to say it's a bad beer--it's just not special. It was a straight-up typical bitter in just about every way.
A: reddish-tawny in colour--no head, just a bit of foam around the glass that does leave some lacing.
S: rustic, grass/wheat aromas
T: bitter but not overpowering, and unfortunately not all that interesting either
M: mild, flat-ish, thin--not bad, just very typical bitter cask ale
O: again, this is an okay beer--not amazing, not horrible, just average.
