A 500ml clear glass bottle with a BB of April 2013. Picked up from Aldi some time back. Described on the rear label as a limited edition brew to celebrate the 2012 Olympics.
Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear golden colour with medium carbonation. Forms a small head of white foam that dissipates after a minute or so. Aroma of weak malt with notes of fruity ale yeast, stewed leaves, overcooked veg and a hint of solvent. The yeast notes are distinctly Batemans.
Tastes of weak caramel malt with a dry finish. Notes of fruity yeast and stewed leaves/veg. Dry, with a mild yet harsh bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, with prickly carbonation and a harsh astringency. Aftertaste of acrid stewed leaves and cabbage water.
Pathetic - this has to be the worst Batemans brew I've ever tried, and an appalling beer on its own terms. Weak and watery, with a bland flavour and harsh off-notes - it's just shit. The sad thing is that the blurb on the bottle says that this was brewed to honour those whose efforts have won the brewery acclaim (gold medals) over the years. What a way to acknowledge them. Terrible beer - avoid.

Pours a golden straw with virtually no trace of head but say a couple of dozen tiny white bubbles which is amazingly surprising seeing as the bottle surged out with foam when opened.
Hop, golden syrup and summer sweat on the aromas.
Quite zesty and surprisingly well balanced taste, citrus and pear before malts give way to .
Very easy drinking, this with the nice spritely but not over carbonation makes not the perfect pint but a far better drink than I imagined, I actually like it.

I got a bottle of this sent to me today amongst other things.
I drank it from the bottle.
It wasnt particularly appealing looking in the clear bottle. It tasted very flat and pretty uneventful. No real proper taste coming through.
A poor beer from a decent brewery that usually put out better stuff than this.

Brewed for the 2012 Summer Olympics (London) this clear 500ml bottle (best before 30 Apr 2013) was poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 10th May 2012.
Hoppy nose and initial taste in this pale orange coloured beer: no head after 30 seconds, I hate that!
It looks weak and tastes weak, not impressed at all. The worst Batemans beer I've ever had (so far).
