Hand-pulled half-pint in the brewery tasting room (Mr George's Windmill bar) on 1 April 2013.
Brewed every Easter with a Pump-Clip in the shape of a chocolate Easter Egg, the name being a play on the regular Batemans Bitter known as XB: it might even be the original beer but with 'chocolate malts' added.
Dark body: deep amber in colour with a white crown on top.
Malty chocolate notes in both the taste and smell: bitter finish to an otherwise semi-sweet yet fairly dry beer.
Body depth suited the flavours and alcohol level, all in all a pleasant beer.
