Opened the vintage 2013 bottle with my wife to celebrate the purchase of the new home.
It delivers a fluffy big foam, that is quite stable for such a high alcohol beer, plenty of carbonation of coarse. body is murky and pale orange
Smell is definitely peach, but also something more sour, grape skin maybe, bakery too
fruity, sweetness probably from the alcohol, quite dry, slightly tart as well, got some bready malts too, sourdough.
feel is very much like champagne, maybe less smooth compared to the good ones, warming alcohol
Great Biere de champagne. Would buy this again, if I could get it. Only thing that is a bit awkward is the when the lovely sweet fruitiness clashes with the dry aftertaste, though one could say that this makes it even more interesting

Corked and caged 750ml bottle shared by Andrew - thanks. 2012 Vintage.
A: Pours a hazy yellow with a half-inch thick white head with good retention and leaves spots of lace.
N: Fruity peaches, pears, some wood, grain and mild spice.
T: Cheesy funk is present but not pronounced. Floral and fruity with peaches and pear overtones.
M: Light body and medium carbonation. Spritzy, crisp, yeasty fruity finish.
O: An Austrian champagne-beer, yes please.

Thanks to drewone for sharing this one at his tasting.
2012 vintage.
Pours a hazy gold with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, honey, fruit, and perfume aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, honey, fruit, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with nice fruit and honey combination that comes through a bit better in the flavor.
Serving type: bottle.

I tried the Brew Secco at BrauKunstLive in Munich in February, 2013.
A 8.5% Starkbier that they say was modeled after a Belguim style and fermented with Champagne yeast (Proseco is a popular, cheap northern Italian Champagne.) I loved it. Boy did it ever have foam! After they poured the glass, I waited 3 or 4 minutes while talking to the staff in the stand and a man came up and said, "You got the Brew Secco, only chapagne yeast make foam that strong."
I finally had to slurp through the foam to get to the beer, tickling my nose in the process. The taste was dry, champagne-like brut, but beery too, for it was thick and malty to match a really lemony flavor. A WOW beer.
