Dark..low carbonation..in look. Sweetly, smooth taste and feel. A step up from Newcastle Brown Ale. This is a great import. Sometimes US craft brews blow away the traditional/mass-marketed imports. This one blows away many US craft brews.

Closeout sale at local store: 12 pack with Newcastle Brown (4.7%), Caley Amber(6.5%), and British Pale(5.8%) Ales. Gotta remember that this is a Brit ale - NOT and American IPA! LOL. Darkish brown color (colour?) white head with decent white lacing. Boozy sweet aroma. Thinnish mouthfeel. Very boozy on the front of the taste - sweet in the middle - and bitter at the end. Not horrible for the style nor the price I paid - but will not buy again.

A uniquely awful beer. Syrupy-sweet, very watery. I drank it straight from the bottle. There wasn't much smell to speak of. I was immediately repulsed by the sweetness and couldn't really taste anything else until the metallic after taste at the end of the bottle.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of some hops and caramel malt Body is medium and smooth. Herbal hops, caramel malt, alcohol and red fruit fill the mouth. Finish is medium and dry. Drinkable brew.

From the bottle with a mark of L60488265911. Sampled on Sept 1, 2016.
It has an attractive looking amber mahogany pour but with no head,
The aroma has a sweet melted caramel nalt character, a nut character, and crackers. Odd grainy note too. Little to no hop profile.
Medium smooth body.
Caramel sweetness in the taste leading to a mild bitter finish. But also a weird vegetable oil thing.
