This is one of a series of lagers featuring hops from around the world. This one is called Blue Ridge Mountains, with "wild yeast," which seems a bit unlikely for an industrial beer, but who knows?
Handsome dark amber brew with a big foam. Quite fizzy and sudsy in the mouth. Interesting aroma of something dark and woodsy. It's not too sweet, though there is a caramel malt taste. Canned pears, that's the flavor. There is just a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite drinkable and inoffensive, really, compared to the run of the market in rural France. From the 0.33 litre bottle.
