Nice beer from Highland and quite a change from their normal fare. When Hollie Stephenson came to Highland a couple of years ago, she started giving the traditional brewery a facelift, introducing many new beers and styles to Highlands lineup. Radical Departure is again something new, a New England style IPA that is quite good. The color is orange/golden and is a bit hazy. The nose is full of fruit and citrus. Taste is very solid with fruit and malty sweetness. Ironically, this beer was released just after Hollie made her own radical departure from Highland for Guinness, USA. Here's to hoping Highland's next head brewer keeps things innovative and interesting.

Lightly hazed deep orange color with a small creamy head. Fruit salad hop aromas - melon, berries, and bright citrus. Taste is tropical fruity hops balanced with a light honey malt. Grapefruit, pineapple, melon, light graham crackers. Medium-light, crisp, and dry. Pretty nice - not a good example of a NEIPA - but, a tasty fruity IPA nonetheless.
